An awareness session under the Tamil Nadu Government's "Police Akka" Scheme was conducted on 19.12.2024 to foster trust between the police and young women, focusing on their safety and empowerment. The session was led by Head Constable K. Gomathi, who emphasized the importance of safety, self-defence, and mutual trust between students and law enforcement. Through an engaging discussion, she provided practical tips for self-protection, explained the role of the "Police Akka" initiative, and encouraged students to reach out to the police without hesitation in times of need. The session, coordinated by Mrs. Jothilakshmi, aimed to create a safe and supportive environment for students. It also highlighted the police department's commitment to ensuring the welfare and empowerment of young women.
