The Dupuis Week was commemorated with great fervor from August 18th to August 25th, 2024. Founder’s Birthday Celebration at the Parish

The celebratory week commenced on August 18, 2024, with a deeply moving observance of the Founder’s Birthday at the Parish. English Department Visit to Taimai Anbu Karangal

On August 19th, 2024, students and staff members from the English Department, led by Dr. T. Sowmya, made a heartwarming visit to Taimai Anbu Karangal, an orphanage dedicated to children with autism. The team brought a variety of food items to support the children and brighten their day.

The visit provided not only much-needed supplies but also an opportunity to interact with the children and staff, fostering a sense of community and support. The English Department's commitment to social responsibility was clearly evident, and the event served as a meaningful reminder of the power of kindness and generosity.

Commerce Department Reaches Out to Leprosy Patients

On the 20th of August, 2024, a distinguished delegation of students and staff from the illustrious Commerce Department, accompanied by the esteemed Sathya, embarked on a profoundly impactful visit to a local hospital, extending their unwavering support to patients grappling with leprosy. With immense generosity and heartfelt compassion, the team bestowed a diverse array of nourishing food items, aiming not only to enhance the patients' well-being but also to offer them a momentary reprieve of comfort amidst their trials.

This visit, a magnificent display of empathy and communal service, exemplified the department's steadfast commitment to social responsibility. The initiative was not merely an attempt to alleviate the formidable challenges faced by the patients, but also a powerful endeavor to foster a spirit of awareness and compassion that resonates throughout the community.

On the momentous day of August 21, 2024, the distinguished management, devoted staff, and spirited students of the Jayarani Family came together in a grand celebration to honor the feast of our revered Holy Patrons, whose divine blessings have illuminated our path and guided us in all our endeavors.

The exalted festivities commenced with a solemn and majestic mass, marking the dawn of a day brimming with reverence, gratitude, and spiritual reflection. Following the sacred ceremony, the magnanimous management extended their generosity, offering a sumptuous feast to all staff members—a gesture of unity, appreciation, and collective camaraderie.

The day unfolded with moments of profound joy and contemplation, culminating in a series of auspicious events that reinforced our deep sense of community, devotion, and faith. As the celebrations drew to a close, we were enveloped by an overwhelming sense of divine blessings and fulfillment, carrying forth the eternal spirit of our Holy Patrons as we continue our shared journey with renewed purpose.

In an extraordinary act of solidarity and compassion, our enterprising students, embodying the essence of institutional social responsibility, rallied together to support those devastated by the catastrophic Wayanad landslide. Through their tireless efforts, they raised a remarkable ₹50,000 from the benevolent contributions of the public. This substantial sum will be directed towards the reconstruction of homes for families who were tragically left homeless by the disaster.

The cheque was solemnly presented during the Feast Day celebrations of our cherished college patroness. In a moment of profound service and empathy, Rev. Sr. Dr. Jothi Mary, our esteemed Secretary, graciously handed over the ₹50,000 cheque to the Most Rev. Bishop Dr. Arulselvam Rayappan, in a poignant act of service and solidarity.

Inauguration of Infant Jesus Power Cell Association

On the illustrious 22nd of August, 2024, the esteemed Infant Jesus Power Cell Association, a distinguished assembly of Catholic staff and students, hosted its grand inauguration ceremony. This momentous event unfolded within the hallowed walls of Dupuis Auditorium and was graced by the venerable presence of Rev. Fr. Padmakumar, Assistant Parish Priest of St. Mary’s Co-Cathedral, Shevapet, Salem, who served as the distinguished chief guest.

The proceedings commenced with a profoundly moving prayer, enveloping the gathering in a spirit of reverence, unity, and divine grace. Following this sacred invocation, the welcome address was delivered with warmth and eloquence, extending a heartfelt greeting to all attendees while underscoring the monumental significance of the occasion.

On the 23rd of August, 2024, a noble cohort of students and staff from the Computer Science Department, under the inspiring leadership of Fatima, embarked on an exceptionally heartwarming sojourn to a local old age home. With generosity in their hearts, they presented an assortment of carefully chosen grocery items, not only to support the residents but to imbue their day with a touch of joy and compassion.

Throughout the visit, the students and staff engaged warmly with the elderly, offering their company and kindness. The residents, overwhelmed with gratitude, showered the visitors with blessings and sincere thanks, deeply moved by the thoughtful gesture.

On the momentous morning of August 24th, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., a solemn prayer service was held in reverence for all the non-teaching staff members. The poignant life story of the Servant of God Louis Savinien Dupuis was read aloud, accompanied by the sacred recitation of the prayer for his beatification. A heartfelt intercessory prayer was offered, invoking divine blessings for those in dire need.

The grand finale, on August 25th, was the magnificent celebration of the Feast of Our Founder.
