The Rotaract Club of Salem Gugai and Rotaract Club of Jayarani Arts and Science College, in collaboration with the Obstetric and Gynaecological Society of Salem, organized "CerviCare" to mark Cervical Cancer Awareness Month in January 2025. The event took place on January 10, 2025, at 1:00 PM. The program featured prominent keynote speakers, including Dr. M.K. Indumathi (MD, O&G), Consultant Fertility Specialist from Dr. Aravind's IVF Salem, Dr. Divya (MD, OG), Consultant at Max Speciality Clinic, Salem, and Dr. Jeyalakshmi (DGO, DNB(OG), MRCOG), Consultant at Sri Balaji Hospital, Salem. These experts shared insights on cervical cancer prevention, early detection, and the importance of regular screenings, emphasizing the need for proactive healthcare measures. The event aimed to educate women about cervical cancer, risk factors, and available treatments. It also addressed myths and misconceptions, encouraging a more informed and positive approach to women’s health. Organized under the leadership of Rtr. Mounika K (President), Rtr. Sujitha S (Secretary), and Rtr. IPP Swathi Ravikumar (Event Chair), the program was a resounding success, raising awareness and empowering attendees to take charge of their health.
